My journey into watchmaking began a few years ago on my wedding anniversary. While my wife had her wedding ring enhanced with diamond bands, I took on the challenge of crafting my first watch. Although I had no formal training in watchmaking, two decades of bench experience repairing photographic equipment provided a strong foundation. The tools were surprisingly similar, and the process felt very intuitive. What I hadn’t anticipated was how thoroughly enjoyable the experience would be, leaving me eager to explore more. It wasn’t long before I found myself making more watches and I plunged headlong into the fascinating world of watchmaking.
